Man Utd still in talks for De Jong

United remain in talks with Barcelona over a fee for midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

he clubs are still apart in their valuations - but the player is more open to the idea of making the move to Old Trafford.

United boss Erik ten Hag managed de Jong at Ajax and is looking to recruit the Dutch international in what is a priority position this summer.

Sky Sports News has been told United will walk away from the deal if they can't negotiate what they feel is a reasonable price - and are keeping an eye on other options.

Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in signing PSV midfielder Ibrahima Sangare this summer.

Sangare is believed to have a €35m (£29.9m) release clause in his contract and has also been linked in the Dutch media with Liverpool and Newcastle.

A source close to the 24-year-old said the player has his heart set on moving to England and is convinced he will be a Premier League player next season.

Pogba weighing up future

Paul Pogba has spoken publicly about the next move in his career after United announced last week he will leave the club when his contract expires this summer.

In an interview with Uninterrupted, Pogba said: "I just want the best for me... think, take my time. I just want to play football, be myself and enjoy what I do."

Pogba has yet to decide on his next move - Juventus are confident of re-signing him.

There are offers from PSG and Real Madrid, too - though a move to Real is looking increasingly unlikely after the club agreed a deal with Monaco to sign Aurelien Tchouameni.

Ronaldo 'very happy' to stay at Man Utd | 'I still believe'

Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted he is "very happy" to remain at Old Trafford and believes Manchester United will rebound from a dreadful 2021/22 campaign under new manager Erik ten Hag.

Speaking in an interview with the club, Ronaldo said: "I was and still am very happy to be here.

"For me, the most important thing is to try to win the games and try to win some championship or some cup but I believe that Manchester will be where they belong. As I say before, sometimes it takes time but I still believe."

Matic to reunite with Mourinho at Roma

Nemanja Matic will join Roma on a free transfer this summer, according to Sky Italy.

The former Serbia international's contract with Manchester United expires at the end of June and the 33-year-old has already said he will leave Old Trafford.

He has agreed a one-year deal with Roma with an option for a further year depending on appearances.

It will be the third time he has played under Jose Mourinho. He was with him at Chelsea and Manchester United.

Mata to leave Man Utd after eight years

Juan Mata will leave Manchester United after eight years at the club when his contract expires at the end of the month.

The 34-year-old was signed by David Moyes from Premier League rivals Chelsea in January 2014 and went on to make 285 appearances for United, scoring 51 goals.

Mata's first trophy at Old Trafford was the 2016 FA Cup under Louis van Gaal, while he also helped the side to the Europa League and League Cup under Jose Mourinho the following season.
