"I told Vinicius: 'You're like Neymar in 2014'

Tite believes that Vinicius is playing like the 2014 version of Neymar. He doesn't just think this, but has said it openly. On the podcats 'Sexta Estrela', he told an interesting anecdote. During a training session with Brazil, he told the Real Madrid man how much he reminded him of the PSG star a few years ago. He also praised the former Barcelona man.

"Neymar is not the problem, he is the solution. Sometimes, people say that he makes too many mistakes in the middle. His position makes him commit more mistakes because everything that he does creatively will be decisive. If a coach puts him on the bench, watching the game, I will call him stupid. A player with his quality, waiting on the sidelines, limits his creative capacity" he claimed.

"Creativity is not a constant, it's an eventuality, it's circumstantial. He will commit more mistakes, yes, he will, because his creative capacity and positioning require it" he added. After, he talked about the success mentioned in the first paragraph, when he spoke to Vini to try and motivate him and revealed what he was thinking about him

"We were in a training session. He told Vini: 'You're like Neymar in 2014 because the Neymar who was at Barcelona and Brazil back then was on the wing, now he's central" he explained. Vinicius, who has been coming on leaps and bounds, will have a golden oppurtunity to prove his manager right at the Qatar World Cup.
