Arsenal have announced their retained list ahead of the 2022/23 season, with striker Eddie Nketiah currently in talks over a new contract.

One source told Sky Sports News he is finalising details on a new contract but Crystal Palace and Borussia Monchengladbach are both interested in signing him on a free transfer.

Lyon have announced the return of Alexandre Lacazette on a free transfer after the forward left Arsenal.

The forward's contract at the Emirates Stadium was due to expire at the end of this month and has moved back to the club he began his career at before moving to Arsenal in 2017.

Laczette made his name at Lyon, where he scored 129 times, after coming through the academy at the French club. Lacazette's arrival is a coup for Lyon, who finished eighth in Ligue 1 this season and will not compete in Europe in the upcoming campaign.

Saliba aiming to prove himself at Arsenal

William Saliba insists he will remain at Arsenal next season despite saying it is a "shame" to be leaving Marseille, in an interview with France's Telefoot.

Saliba spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Marseille and helped the Ligue 1 side to return to the Champions League but after three years on loan, he says he will return to the Emirates.

"I belong to Arsenal, I still have two years left," he said.

"I will be back with Arsenal. I have played zero matches and I still want to show them my true face and have the chance to play for these fans and this great club."
